Preliminary sketch by Amy Fletcher for what was to become the artwork for Rhytm & Bruise.

I'd become quite a fan of Amy's artwork while recording that album and she kindly offered to do this for us.

It looked racy at a time when a lot of rock/metal album art was.... a bit dull to say the least.

I couldn't wait to see the finished result!

Prior to this cover, Hallion was offered a piece of very striking photography by Rachel, Jay's girlfriend. From an artistic point of view, the photo of a pretty girl with a black eye was going to cause a fair bit of controversy. I admitted to feeling a bit uneasy about it but kept an open mind.

It certainly did cause a fuss! Album artwork previews we put online caused a barrage of pissed off emails from supporters and the picture was deleted by myspace inside of an hour....
